Benalup Golf
Benalup Golf is situated in a unique environment with stunning views over the La Janda valley and the Los Alcornocales Natural Park. This
golf course can be qualified as flat, with abundant trees that determine the way of attacking the green. Many fairways are tree-lined with a number of them protected by artificial lakes (especially on the front nine) and bunkering on most of the raised, sloping greens is relatively light.
The water hazards integrated in the course design play an important role in the game strategy. The lower handicaps will certainly enjoy the technical challenge whilst playing from the back tees.
Of its spectacular layout some of the holes deserve a particular mention, the par three 10th is a lovely, followed by the 340-yard, uphill par four 11th which doglegs to the right round a large tree in the middle of the fairway to an elevated green where great views can be had over the entire La Janda valley; hole 13, a par 5, is one of the most spectacular holes with a small lake just in front of the green.
The natural yet very technical course of Benalup offers great versatility and is a challenge for all types of players. The course compensates the flaws of each golfer by allowing him to get the best out of his game whether it is a good tee-off, approach or putt.
