Mar Menor originally opened in 2005 as a 9 hole Par 36 course and was extended to a full 18 holes Par 72 which opened in September 2009. This is a good test of golf for all handicap levels the original 9 holes are now very mature and demand a high degree of accuracy on the approach shots.
The lush Mediterranean landscape full of palm trees, native grasses and flowering shrubs adds to the beauty of the resort. The new back 9 holes offer some very challenging undulating greens with 4 holes placed around a very large spectacular lake. The greens run true and fast and the fairways are usually lush and perfectly manicured.
If you decide to play this fantastic golf course designed by two of the great names on the golf history you surely will enjoy a fantastic round of golf full of challenges and excitement.

Service was very efficient from first to last. The reception staff at the pro shop were particularly helpful.
